Yesterday, we held an event about #DTTP organized by students from the Master of Public Health (MPH) program, in collaboration with both Global Science University – GSU and Bahir Dar University – Ethiopia. #DTTP (Developmental Team Training Program) is a community development program focused on empowering women who sell milk by the roadsides in the city. The program aimed to raise awareness among these women about hygiene and the safety of milk storage to reduce the health risks associated with the improper storage and selling of unclean milk. During the event, the women were provided with essential supplies, including:
Sun hats – to protect them from the sun and dust.
Milk storage containers – clean, easy-to-use vessels to preserve the quality of the milk.
Solar lights – to help the women with their businesses during the night.
These supplies were donated by Shaafici Pharmacy and Durdur Telecom, who showed their support for public health improvement and small women-owned businesses. The women who benefited from the donations expressed their gratitude to the students who organized the program and the companies that contributed.
