GSU has been ranked among the top 100 universities in Sub-Saharan Africa by Times Higher Education in the 2024 Sub-Saharan Africa University Rankings. GSU achieved:

Association of Somali Universities (ASU)
Global Science University is honored to be a member of the Association of Somali Universities (ASU), reflecting our commitment to collaborative academic initiatives, knowledge sharing, and the collective advancement of higher education in Somalia. Through this membership, GSU actively engages with a network of institutions, contributing to and benefiting from efforts to promote academic excellence nationwide.
Association of Puntland Universities (APU)
Global Science University is a member of APU since 2017. APU was established in July 2017 following a series of consultative meetings among the heads of higher education institutions in Puntland. This collaborative initiative was founded by the following universities: the University of Health Sciences (UoHS), University of Bosaso (UoB), East Africa University (EAU), Garowe Teachers Education College (GTEC), Puntland State University (PSU), Global Science University (GSU), Puntland University of Science and Technology (PUST), and Red Sea University (RSU). APU serves as a cooperative body and consultative network designed to enhance connections among institutions, fostering high standards of academic achievement and research.
