The first day of the inaugural conference of the Association of Puntland Universities (APU) concluded successfully.
The conference was jointly organized by the Ministry of Education and Higher Education and the Association of Puntland Universities (APU). Among the attendees were the Vice President of Puntland, Mr. Ilyaas Osman Lugatoor, the Minister of Education Mr. Fa’ad Abshir, the Minister of Planning Daud Bisle, and members of the Puntland Parliament’s Social Affairs Committee.
The conference featured various research presentations focused on decentralizing government services, enhancing the work of local governments, and discussions on how to improve local government services.
Global Science University, which is scheduled to present two research studies tomorrow, was represented at the conference by Dr. Ahmed A. Abdille, the university’s Head of Education, and Dr. Osman Abd-Algadir Ali, the Dean of the Faculty of Medicine.
This being the first conference held by Puntland universities, we hope it concludes smoothly and achieves its intended goals, with the aim of making it an annual event.
