The inauguration ceremony of the second phase of the Cancer Diagnostic Center in Galkacyo (Galkacyo Oncology Center) was held last night, on May 18, 2025, in the city of Galkacyo.

The event was organized by GMC Hospital – Galkacyo Medical Center, in partnership with Global Science University (GSU).

The Cancer Center launched in Galkacyo is intended to provide comprehensive healthcare services for the diagnosis and treatment of cancer to the people living in the region and the wider Somali community, all within the country.
