The new students were warmly welcomed, given guidance, and provided with a roadmap for their academic journey ahead. The orientation session was attended by Dr. Abdulkadir Mohamud Jama (Dhagacadde), the president of the university, along with other university leaders, faculty members, and distinguished guests. During the event, they shared valuable words of welcome, encouragement, and advice with the new students, emphasizing the importance of hard work, dedication, and academic excellence. This session also included discussions on: The university’s mission and values. Expectations for students and how to excel in their studies. Available academic support and resources for success. Campus life, extracurricular activities, and student clubs. We believe that this event has set the right tone for the new academic year, ensuring that the students are well-informed, motivated, and ready to embark on their educational journey at Global Science University – GSU. Home / Posts/ Events News EMERGENCY_AND_CRITICAL_CARE_ESSENTIALS Today, on the 21st of October, 2025, the training on #Emergency_and_Critical_Care_Essentials officially started. This training, which will run for three days, aims to provide students with essential skills and knowledge in emergency and critical care. It is open to health faculty students at Global Science University – GSU, as well as students from other institutions. The focus of the training will be on: Life-saving techniques: Including CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation), first aid, and trauma care. Patient assessment: Identifying and managing emergency conditions effectively. Critical care management: Understanding the protocols for treating critically ill patients. Advanced medical tools and equipment: Practical sessions on the use of life-support systems and other critical care equipment. Teamwork in emergencies: How to work efficiently in high-pressure situations, collaborating with other healthcare professionals. We expect that, Insha’Allah, the students will leave with enhanced practical and theoretical knowledge, equipping them with the skills needed to respond confidently in emergency and critical care situations. The training is being conducted by experienced medical professionals and instructors, ensuring a high-quality learning experience for all participants. DTTP PROGRAM – MPH STUDENTS

Home / Posts/ Events News DTTP PROGRAM – MPH STUDENTS Yesterday, we held an event about #DTTP organized by students from the Master of Public Health (MPH) program, in collaboration with both Global Science University – GSU and Bahir Dar University – Ethiopia.#DTTP (Developmental Team Training Program) is a community development program focused on empowering women who sell milk by the roadsides in the city. The program aimed to raise awareness among these women about hygiene and the safety of milk storage to reduce the health risks associated with the improper storage and selling of unclean milk.During the event, the women were provided with essential supplies, including: Sun hats – to protect them from the sun and dust. Milk storage containers – clean, easy-to-use vessels to preserve the quality of the milk. Solar lights – to help the women with their businesses during the night. These supplies were donated by Shaafici Pharmacy and Durdur Telecom, who showed their support for public health improvement and small women-owned businesses.The women who benefited from the donations expressed their gratitude to the students who organized the program and the companies that contributed.
