MBBS Year 3 Students Undertake OSCE Examination Focused on Clinical Skills

Third-year medical students (MBBS Year 3) successfully participated in the Objective Structured Clinical Examination (OSCE), with a particular focus on patient history-taking and physical examination.

The examination was designed to assess essential clinical competencies required in medical practice, including effective communication skills, systematic history-taking, accurate physical examination techniques, and sound clinical reasoning. Throughout the OSCE, students interacted with patients in structured clinical scenarios, demonstrating their ability to gather relevant information, establish professional rapport, and perform appropriate physical assessments.

Following patient encounters, students were expected to analyze the information obtained from the history and physical examination, interpret key clinical findings, and formulate appropriate differential diagnoses based on the evidence collected. This process aimed to evaluate their ability to integrate theoretical knowledge with practical clinical skills and apply critical thinking in patient care.

The OSCE serves as an important milestone in medical education, helping students develop confidence, professionalism, and competence in clinical settings while preparing them for future clinical rotations and responsibilities as healthcare professionals.

We extend our sincere best wishes to all students and hope for their continued success in their academic journey and future medical careers.
