Prof. Gele is an accomplished professional with comprehensive experience providing public health and epidemiology expertise, consultation, leadership, training, and research.  Utilizing exceptional analytical, problem-solving, strategic planning, and interpersonal skills; he drives change through collaboration and devises solutions through leadership, shaping and executing research projects.

Prof. Gele is an experienced professional is areas including Migration and Health, Maternal and reproductive health, Infectious diseases epidemiology particularly TB & HIV, Disease prevention & Control, Policy evaluations, Health systems research, Higher education systems, Epidemiology of cardiovascular diseases, and Quantitative and qualitative research

Educational Background

Prof. Gele completed his Post doctorate research in Health literacy of immigrant women at Oslo University Hospital. He completed his doctoral studies at the University of Oslo in  Public health & Epidemiology in 2011 – 2013. Gele also earned master’s (M.Phil) degree in International Community Health from the University of Oslo in 2006 – 2008 and a Master of Medical Parasitology from University of Nairobi in 2000 – 2002.
